Tournament Of Havoc - Battle for the Fourth Wall War Chest

Introduction

Unto all whose presence we enjoy I, THL Seamus Blackhart, and the Riders of the Fourth Wall welcome and challenge you to Havoc in Hastings VIII.

I’ll be your equestrian Steward and Equestrian Marshal in Charge for this wonderful event.

I encourage all to come and take challenge as we create Havoc in Hastings.

Saturday will be filled with public instructional and educational activities. It will be our responsibility to demonstrate the importance of the horse in these times.

Again this year we are honored to Host the Andelcrag Baronial Equestrian Championship on Saturday Morning. Entrants must be Intermediate or advanced riders, and will earn bonus points for display of A/S relating to equestrian activity in the Middle ages. All riders are welcome to compete in the tournament, only those residing in and proclaiming intent to serve as the Baron and Baroness’ Champion will be eligible for selection as Baronial Champion.

Saturday afternoon the official display for the Public, The Fourth Wall hopes to take back the War chest. The Lance of Rivenstar vie to hold the War Chest after their superb victory last season. It is our hope to demonstrate a period gauntlet Tournament, ending with the joust. Teams, Lances, Troops, or Companies choosing to take the challenge as venants, will be heralded on the field as they attempt to defeat the Fourth Wall, in Reeds, Rings, Spear work, Mounted Crest combat and Jousting.

For more details see Tournament Rules

Sunday we challenge all who accept to tournament where riders can challenge their skills. The course will be ran by each rider in it’s entirety and time will be considered in the final score. The winner will be declared the Champion of Havoc.

With the extra long weekend we hope to provide for a relaxing, enjoyable and safe event. We will offer a full size list field AND practice / warm up field.

There are no stalls on site. There will be room to set up your own portable stalls, paddocks. We will have a picket line and will also have some extra electric fencing to paddock off the list field after the activities are completed for the day.

It is extremely important that you contact me, so I can plan and layout the area to accommodate the trailers easily. I need to know approximate arrival times. The park gates will close at 9 pm and we will man the gates until midnight Friday unless other arrangements have been made.
